It's been eleven years since I got married, but I still remember the struggles my husband and I went through trying to find the perfect place to get married and hold our reception like it was yesterday. Lack of options in the Rockford area wasn't the problem, finding a place that felt like "us" and that we could envision celebrating our special day at was.

To me, the atmosphere was everything. I already had pictures of reception decorations in my head, and I wanted to find a place that fit that style. My husband just wanted a place with a big bar, unlimited kegs of beer, and nice scenery. I can tell you right now that we could have saved ourselves from a lot of wedding planning arguments if Union Rockford had existed back in 2010.
