Here's a fact; JB Love and I are major chickens and cannot handle 'scary' things.

Haunted tours or ghost hunting would make us lose control of our bodily functions and watching horror shows or movies will lead to our sleep being interrupted by nightmares. (Feel free to make fun of us now). That being said, we have not watched  'Fear Street'  on Netflix, although now I may want to start.

Did You Catch Rockford's Mrs. Fisher's Chips on 'Fear Street'?

Mrs. Fisher's Potato Chips recently shared this on Facebook, and now I have SOO many questions...

What connection does Netflix or Fear Street have to Rockford?

Everyone knows product placements like that on television shows are intentional, and usually paid for, but Mrs. Fisher's seemed genuinely surprised that their product was featured in the film. That tells me Mrs. Fisher's didn't pay to be a part of it, so who loves the chips enough to give them a "freebie"? Is a cast or crew member a former Rockfordian?

Any good Mrs.Fisher's Chips fan knows these slices of potato deliciousness are only sold in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin, so the fact that the 'Fear Street' films are set in the fictional town of Shadyside, Ohio doesn't work for the theory that they were trying to add an Illinois vibe to the films.

I then decided to Google the cast members of 'Fear Street', and I couldn't find any proof that any of them were from the Rockford area, so now I'm at a loss. I NEED to know who is a fellow Fishers fan, so I looked up the author of the book series that the 'Fear Street' films are based on, R.L. Stine. Mr. Stine is from Ohio, not Illinois, so I don't think he is the root either.

Have you watched any of the 'Fear Street' films on Netflix? Do you have a theory on why Mrs. Fisher's Potato Chips appeared in the film? If you do, please let me know and put me out of my ignorant misery. Thank you.
