Morning Blood Drive Coming To Backyard Bar And Grill

You need to set the alarm a little earlier and head out to Backyard Bar and Grill the morning of October 28th. 

23WIFR and Backyard in Loves Park are teaming up to save lives on Friday, October 28

Join the Rock River Valley Blood Center at Backyard, 6473 N. Second Street, in Loves Park from 5:30am-2:00pm. 23WIFR's Aaron Wilson will broadcast live from the event starting at 5:00am. All donors will receive a $5 gift certificate to Backyard Grill and Bar.

Donating blood is safe and simple. You are most likely able to donate if you are at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in general good health. People taking medications are not necessarily disqualified, so show up and see if you can do it.

The blood levels are area banks are at critically low levels so every little bit helps. Hope to see you out there.
