Finally returning to Chicago is this legendary concert venue.

This Is Great News For Concert Fans

The Double Door was a legendary concert venue in Chicago. They were evicted from their space in 2017. The owners promised to return.

After a long wait, the patient fans have some good news. The Door Double is coming back in a new location.

Check out this news posted on their Facebook page today...

Where Is The New Location

The original building was awesome. It was a dirty rock club. The kind of place you could get up close to the band. I believe this new spot has great potential.

History Of The Double Door

I think the Double Door has quite the history. The who's who of the Chicago music scene and national upcoming new artists have played there. Along with some legends.

Rockford's very own Cheap Trick did a handful of shows at the club.

The most famous show of all time at the Double Door was a secret show performed by the Rolling Stones. They were getting ready to kick off the "Bridges To Babylon" tour in September of 1997 with two sold-out shows at Soldier Field.

For a warm-up gig, they played at the legendary Double Door. Check this out. I found a video of the show on YouTube.
