Wait, what? There's such a thing as Yellowstone-branded food? I first heard of it when I was notified that the canned baked beans recall affected just about two dozen states in America, including Illinois.

The FDA All Over The Baked Bean Recall of 2025

The Food and Drug Administration was all over it, saying Yellowstone Brown Sugar Molasses Baked Beans have been recalled "due to the presence of undeclared soy." The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say soy is one of nine major food allergens that account for some of the most serious allergic reactions in the US. I don't have a soy allergy, so I wasn't aware.

States Affected By the Yellowstone Baked Bean Recall

In addition to Illinois, the 4,500 or so cases of Yellowstone-branded baked beans are being recalled in these states: Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.

Has Anyone Got Sick From Yellowstone Baked Beans?

No illnesses have been announced as of now, but customers have been asked to return them to the store they purchased them in for a full refund.

If you are trying to identify which can of Yellowstone baked beans has been recalled, look for the "Best if used by" date of February 17, 2028.
