Midwestern States Have Top Fall Festivals in America

Readers of USA Today from across the country selected their favorite fall festivals in the U.S. and some of the top celebrations are happening right here in the heart of America.

According to the 10 Best Reader's Choice 2024 in USA Today, the overall #1 Best Fall Festival in the U.S. happens in southern Indiana on the first full week in October.

The West Side Nut Club Fall Festival in Evansville, Indiana features more than 130 food booths, and live entertainment which attracts over 200,000 visitors for the week-long celebration. To understand just how many people attend this festival, their half-pot this year was over $1.8 million.

Wisconsin Only State With 2 of Top 10 Best Fall Fests

The Fall Festival ranked 9th in the U.S. happens to be coming up this week and it's just a short drive from Rockford, Illinois.

The Verona Fall Festival is September 27 from 4 to 7 pm and will feature a "outdoor movie and bonfire, a marketplace, games and crafts for the kids, and plenty of food trucks and live tunes to accompany the fanfare."

This Fall Festival in Wisconsin Ranked 8th Best in U.S.

USA Today readers have chosen their favorite fall festivals in America and the Warrens Cranberry Festival in Warrens, Wisconsin was right at the top.

There are more than 3 miles of shopping and a "variety of contests, including cranberry chiffon pie eating, photography, and quilt and needlepoint."
