Northern Illinois Could Now See a Shockingly Warm Christmas
Just when you thought you knew what to expect for a Christmas in Northern Illinois, think again. I guess expectations should be thrown out the window when you get a foot of snow on Thanksgiving weekend, right?
Now I am totally cherry-picking here, mainly because I want a nice and warm, well, everything, but Mike Caplan at Fox 32 in Chicago shared a couple of screenshots on Facebook that made my jaw drop.
Sixty-three degrees for a high in Rockford on Christmas Day is not something you'd see very often, and if I'm being honest, it sounds totally awesome. If I had a Christmas wish, this kind of temperature would totally be it, as it's only a few ticks off an absolutely perfect day.

Of course, once the jokes wore off, the familiar disappointment showed up as well, with people asking about what happened to our white Christmas.
