As a lifelong Northern Illinois resident, I have a confession to make: one of my favorite things about going to Wisconsin is stopping at Kwik Trip.

Reasons to Stop at Kwik Trip

A few years ago, a new Kwik Trip gas station opened down the road from my family's cabin in Wisconsin, and ever since then it has been my mission to find several excuses to go there every time we're up north.

Need gas? Kwik Trip.

Need a quick lunch? Kwik Trip.

Need breakfast food because you "forgot" to pack some from home?  Definitely Kwik Trip.

For years, I've remained loyal to my holy trinity of Kwik Trip greatness: Glazers, Dunkers, and cheeseburgers. It's a combination that has brought me joy, comfort, and several extra pounds.

In my eyes, Kwik Trip can do no wrong, but then they posted a pic of its new Dunker flavor and I immediately thought it was a joke.

Somewhere in Wisconsin, a group of people sat around a conference table and decided, "You know what our Dunkers need this summer? More neon green energy."

I honestly don't know how to feel.

Reactions to Kwik Trip's Mountain Dew Dunkers

Dropping new, limited-edition flavors of its most popular products is nothing new for Kwik Trip.

In summer 2025 they debuted hot dog-flavored chips, and this April they tried to fool us with Chicken Dunker Donuts:

But these Mountain Dew Dunker donuts? They are 100 percent real.

Drink Wisconsinbly recently shared a pic of the new  Dunkers and asked if anyone had tried them yet. Let's just say, they received mixed reviews like:

Taste nothing like a mt dew.

Yes, nothing special. All I taste is lime.

Woooooooooooo!!!!!

Honestly, I'll still try one because Kwik Trip somehow convinced me I should.

Wish me luck. If you see me buzzing around Northern Illinois or Wisconsin with glaze on my face soon, you'll know exactly what happened.
