That's what is going on right now with urban explorers breaking into Indian Lakes Hotel in Bloomingdale. After a shooting closed the place, Indian Lakes has sat abandoned for quite some time. It's also a hotspot for people who love to trespass.

Bloomingdale Police Respond to Viral Trespassing Trend
Now, Bloomingdale Police are cracking down on trespassers due to what is being described as a TikTok "urban exploration" trend. Things are getting out of hand at this place; photos are circulating on the internet of people climbing the hotel's roof.
Indian Lakes Declared Unsafe as Security Tightens
Officers are saying the property is in poor condition and is off-limits, while adding that security has their eyes on the hotel around the clock. Just this past week alone, two people were charged for illegally making their way inside. To reiterate, authorities are stating that they will prosecute anyone caught trespassing to the fullest extent of the law.

Parents Warned About Teen Trespassing Risks
With damaged windows, doors, and walls, the abandoned Indian Lakes has been targeted before, mostly by young adults and teens. Police are asking parents to discuss with their kids the risks they are running if they are indeed attempting to practice this internet trend.
Not disagreeing with the cops, but this kind of thing has been happening for some time; it's just now escalating to a new level thanks to the popularity of TikTok.
