
Illinois Thanksgiving Argument Ends with House Fire and Arrest
Talk about turning up a family argument to the tenth degree after a 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly setting his family's place on fire, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies Respond to Initial Thanksgiving Family Dispute
Deputies arrived on the scene at 7:30 on Thanksgiving night for what was initially described as a verbal dispute. Family members told the cops that the man identified as Erik J. Crump was "antagonizing and arguing' with relatives inside the home. To me, it's kind of an Olympic sport during the holidays, but I digress. Sounds like the officers were able to chill everybody out, and even Crump agreed to step back from the rest of the shenanigans for the evening.
Firefighters Return After Reports of Smoke Filling the Home
That only lasted an hour, when firefighters and deputies were sent back to the same address after hearing the reports that the house was now filling with smoke. Officials say the family had evacuated the place by the time rescue teams arrived.

Lake County Officials Call Blaze a Senseless Act
The fire was called a "senseless act" that apparently caused "major damage" to the home, and a "blessing" that no one was injured or killed. Crump was found a block away, armed with a knife, after a brief foot chase, and was charged with aggravated and residential arson
I wonder if Crump will be invited to Thanksgiving next year?
