My Kind of Football Movie

I'm an Illinois girl who doesn't exactly get excited about football season, but when you combine Christmas, a cheesy love story, and some Chicago Bears pride, I'm all in!

By now, I'm sure you've heard that Hallmark is giving Bears fans a holiday movie of their own this year, and even I, who can't explain a football penalty to save my life, am excited to tune in.

A Hallmark Christmas Movie With a Chicago Bears Twist

Here's the good news: Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story premieres this Saturday, October 17, on Hallmark Channel!

According to ABC7 Chicago, the movie was filmed in Chicago over the summer, (in 90 degree heat), at many familiar locations throughout the city. How many places do you recognize in this trailer?

Now, here comes the part diehard Bears fans will really enjoy... all the cameos by familiar Bears faces.

Chicago Bears Legends and Current Stars Make Cameos

Hallmark isn't just borrowing the Bears' name for a cute Christmas romance. The movie actually features an impressive lineup of Bears personalities, legends, and current team members.

Head coach Ben Johnson, quarterback Caleb Williams, tight ends Cole Kmet and Colston Loveland are all featured in the movie.

Legendary players like Mike Singletary, Charles "Peanut" Tillman, Dan Hampton, and Connie Payton, the wife of the late Walter Payton, all make appearances in the film too.

I may not understand a lot of the football stuff in the movie, but I love that Hallmark has dug deep into Chicago Bears traditions to give fans a holiday romance they can relate to.

I'll be tuning in for the romance, the Chicago scenery, and the Christmas magic. If the Bears happen to score a touchdown along the way, well, that's just a bonus!

Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story premieres at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, on the Hallmark Channel and will be available to stream on Hallmark+ on Sunday, October 18.
