Danica Patrick, a Roscoe native, was dropped from Sky Sports’ Formula 1 broadcast team for the upcoming season.

From the Track to the Broadcast Booth: Danica Patrick's Role at Sky Sports F1

This is big because American F1 is now moving from ESPN to AppleTV, and it will carry the Sky feed.

Before the news, Patrick had been serving as a pre-race analyst primarily for races occurring in North America, working alongside other F1 greats like Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg.

Why Was Danica Patrick Let Go by Sky Sports?

The reasons for Patrick’s departure can be attributed to a combination of factors, mostly her lack of insight into F1, and what Awful Announcing described as “her very outspoken and increasingly extreme conservative politics.”

That’s not all, though; Patrick hosts a podcast that explores conspiracy theories like whether the moon landing is real.

Meanwhile, The U.S. Sun says Naomi Schiff will return after taking maternity leave.

Could Danica Patrick Join Fox Sports for Indianapolis 500 Coverage?

Looking ahead, it remains to be seen if Patrick will join Fox Sports this year to cover the Indianapolis 500.
