Unusual Burglary: Illinois Intruder Breaks In And Cooks Meal
Most criminals in Illinois have specific reasons to break into a house but in this case, the suspect's goal was rather unusual.
It's Never A Good Thing To Get Your Home Broken In To
That's the worst feeling. You're out trying to enjoy yourself. Only to return home and the place was robbed. The house was left in a shambles and all your valuables were stolen. Even if the criminals are long gone, you still don't feel comfortable staying there. I don't wish that on anyone.

Different Kind Of Home Invasion In Illinois
The incident happened over the weekend just after midnight in Joilet. The homeowner returned after a night out. When he got out of his vehicle, he discovered that his door had been smashed in. As he investigated his residence, he figured out it wasn't your run-of-the-mill everyday type of robbery.
Nothing seemed to be missing including his valuables. The break-in did cause a big mess, especially in the kitchen. As the victim started putting the pieces together, he figured out exactly what happened. The intruder didn't force his way into the home to steal anything. The suspect was hungry, so he busted the door down to make himself some food. I'm guessing the criminal was pretty wasted and had the munchies.
Story Twist For The Home Invasion
There is a twist to the story. As the resident was checking out his house for more clues, all of a sudden the suspect popped out of the bedroom. He begged the owner to not call the cops and then took off running. The victim immediately contacted the authorities. They were able to track him down a few minutes later and just a couple of blocks from the crime scene.
