Sightings Of Famous Comedian At Popular Wisconsin Town

Working in radio, I've been lucky to have met many famous people in my career. I was just thinking have I randomly just ran into a celebrity for no apparent reason? Honestly, I can't think of a good story. I guess one time I ran into former Chicago Cubs player, Mark Grace, in a Wrigleyville bar during the offseason.

Green Bay is an interesting city. It's about the size of Rockford but has the reputation of a place like Chicago. I think part of that is because of the Packers being in town. Could you imagine an NFL team here? That would be crazy. They also seem to get a lot of concerts and shows coming through there.

I believe the residents of Green Bay are used to having celebrities around because of the Packers. They just treat them like normal people. Kind of like we do with Cheap Trick in Rockford. It's nice so they don't have to worry about being out in public. The same holds true when a famous person is in Wisconsin for a show. Everyone just leaves them alone.

When a comedian, actor, or celebrity comes to a town to perform, they're on stage for a couple of hours at the most. The rest of the day is theirs to kill time. If the famous person feels comfortable in that city, they will probably go out and do a little exploring. Green Bay is one of those places.

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld was in Green Bay to do a comedy show at Weidner Center. He had several hours before his show so instead of sitting in his hotel room all day, he went out to check out the city.

The famous actor stopped at The Creamery for breakfast. Then he headed over to Powers Comics in Ashwaubenon to look for some Superman books. It wasn't just a thing on his show. Everyone that Seinfeld interacted with had nothing but nice things to say about him. I was so glad to hear that.
