You've heard of the 12 Days of Christmas, but what about the 12 Shots of Christmas? Can you try them all this holiday season? You could win big if you do.

You know the song, 'on the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me...' but what if you don't want a partridge in a pear tree? And you don't really care about geese-a-laying? Then you might want to head to Byron's Uptown Lanes/Back Alley Bar and trade in the 12 Days of Christmas for the 12 Shots of Christmas.

For the last seven years, the bar located at 106 W 2nd Street in Byron, Illinois has been pouring 12 different shots to celebrate the holiday season.

The shots aren't just something fun you can order during the holidays, they're printed on a festive card that could help you win a prize.

From the night before Thanksgiving (Black Wednesday) until Christmas Eve, Uptown Lanes/Back Alley Bar drinkers can order the special 12 shots and if they try them all, they can turn in their completed card and they might win a cash prize.

Think about all the shots you've taken in your life that didn't end with a chance to win cash? Might as well try these and make some money while you're at it.

I asked the Uptown Lanes/Back Alley Bar team how they decide which shots make the final 12 and they said it's all based on how much their customers like the shots from previous years.
