Unique Car Decal Spotted In Illinois Has A Funny Hidden Meaning
If you see a 2-door, red Honda Civic driving around in Rockford with a car decal that says, "East Wildcats", just know it's not about a University.
You know those cars you see driving around town in their beat up Volkswagens with stickers and decals all over the bumper of their car?
That's not my style, but I do enjoy having a decal, or two, that really bring out my personality on my car. Specifically because I have a Honda that looks like it's ready to race you at any moment.
Bad news: I don't drive stick so I'm basically an imposter. Sorry to get your hopes up, car enthusiasts. I drive an automatic.
Anyway, I always catch people glancing over at my car, specifically toward my rear driver side window. Not because my car is super glamorous or looks unique, but because of the decal I have on my window.
It says, "East Wildcats" in big, bright red letters with a wildcat logo in the middle.
At first, you don't think much of it. I mean, it's just another student repping their University, right? Not the case here.
You see, I don't go to school and never went to a University. There's only one school I wish I went to and that's East High from the movie High School Musical.
The decal is a reference to High School Musical and their mascot, a Wildcat.
It seems like it'd be embarrassing to have on my car because I'd have to keep correcting people about the meaning behind the sticker, but I find it funny haha. High School Musical was my favorite childhood movie!
Also, I met Coach Bolton from the movie and got to cross that off my bucket list! Who can say they met one of their favorite actors from their favorite movie?? ME!
So, if you see a red Honda Civic with a Wildcats decal on the driver side of the car in Rockford, don't get it mistaken with college. You never let people know your next move.
Go Wildcats!
