To The Internet Troll Who Called Me Oriental, Who’s Laughing Now?

The internet troll who called me "oriental" showed a blatant disregard for basic human dignity and respect.  I've had enough of it.

I use my platform to spread positive vibes 100% of the time.  I couldn't imagine being racist, prejudice, or discriminative against anybody for any reason.

All my life, I have been called all sorts of names because my parents are in an interracial marriage.  Obviously, back when they got married it wasn't totally socially acceptable, but this day in age?  I can't believe people are so closed-minded.

That means I am, in fact, biracial - I'll yell that loud and proud any day of the week!

Biracial: "having parents or ancestors from different racial or ethnic backgrounds."

Ever since I can remember, people have always asked me if my mom makes really good Asian food... because the stereotype most people know of is a white husband and Asian wife.

Oh how the tables have turned... My dad is Asian and my mom is white.

Growing up was pretty rough, but my parents always taught me to love who I want, treat others with the respect I want in return, and be a humble, kind, and open-minded human being.

I don't see color, ever.  I love that about myself.  I take pride in that.

As for people like this TikTok user, @daddysbunnggegum.. I lose all respect for.

If I was younger, I'd take offense to his type of ignorance, but I have tough enough skin these days!  Being unbothered by a derogatory term you personally post online, with your name attached to your accounts?  Ballsy.

Why does it make you giggle, Brian? 

Why couldn't you type "white", but you were totally okay typing "oriental?"

Sure, "oriental" is a term many people use in conversation without malicious intent, but in this situation he was targeting our skin color.  That's not cool at all.  We are not rugs, we are people.

Here is the TikTok of me, my boyfriend, my sister (@notkahnjunior), and her husband doing a funny skit in Chicago.  Both of our partners are white.  You get the gist of it!

I don't stand for preconceived opinions about me, my family, or anybody else for that matter.  No matter someone's skin color, nationality, or ethnicity nobody deserves to be judged, called derogatory names, or categorized based on what they look like.

Not you, your neighbor, or myself.

To TikToker @daddysbunnggegum, there are 50+ comments calling you out for being racist.  Karma speaks in many different ways and I hope you got the memo.  Select a better choice of words next time.
