A Spooktacular Event Is Creeping Its Way Into Rockford Next Month
If you're looking for some family-friendly fun in the Stateline for Halloween, join Anderson Japanese Gardens this October for trick-or-treating in the Gardens!
As a kid, my parents neighborhood had kids living in every single house, so Halloween time was pretty fun up and down our block. One house, a few blocks over, had a haunted house inside their garage and people running around on stilts in the streets, so I never really left the neighborhood!
Tired of Trunk-Or-Treats? Switch it up this year!
If you're looking for a really safe event to dress up with your kids at this Halloween, checkout Spooktacular Haunts at the Anderson Japanese Gardens!
Japanese Gardens, Hoo Haven Wildlife Rehab & Education Center, and Rockford Public Library invite the public for a spooktacular night dressed in your best... costumes!
SPOOKTACULAR HAUNTS
On Saturday, October 29th starting at 2pm, bring the kiddos to walk the Gardens gathering candy, make crafts at a Halloween station, capture fun photos in their spooky graveyard, and attend a spooky story reading by the Rockford Public Library.
Make sure you dress up, too! Don't be a party pooper, they want to see your costumes!
Sounds like a great place to spend Halloween weekend with the fam! If I had kids, I'd definitely take a trip down the street to Anderson Japanese Gardens. There's so much to do at the Spooktacular Haunts event.
