Rockford Drivers Can Check If Their Plates Have Been Flocked
Searching the Database: The "Have I Been Flocked?" Tool
A website called Have I Been Flocked now allows drivers to search whether their license plate appears in publicly released Flock camera audit logs.
In case you're unaware, Flock cameras are automated license plate readers used by law enforcement agencies across the country, including right here in Rockford.
Police can search Flock's system for license plates as part of investigations. Have I Been Flocked compiles public records obtained from police departments, showing searches conducted through the system.

Database Limitations: Why a "Clear" Result Isn't Final
I checked to see if my Illinois plates came up in the database, and after confirming what the numbers and letters are because, you know, I forgot, I was told No Searches Found but also given this nugget: "This does not mean your license plate has never been searched," and it made me feel a bit weird adding "there may be significant historical gaps."
So I guess it's fair to say this isn't a comprehensive list, since the website relies on publicly released police records showing searches, and some departments may have no records available, while others may have incomplete or outdated information.
