It's not often you run into a fast food joint that you'd consider an architectural marvel.

I guess there's been a time or two that I've walked into a sit-down restaurant and thought "Wow, this place looks gorgeous" but I don't think I've ever said that about a McDonald's.

Everything I thought I knew about the fast food giant's restaurants was that for the most part, they all looked the same,

Outside of the 50s McDonald's in Chicago, I didn't think there was much difference.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, after all, consistency is super important when you have over 40,000 restaurants worldwide.

However, a handful of McDonald's restaurants stand out among the rest and Architectural Digest took a closer look.

Their article called The 13 Most Beautiful McDonald’s in the World listed a restaurant in Wisconsin among the best.

Located in Wisconsin Dells, Architectural Digest says:

Another example of the hamburger restaurant leaning into local culture is this log cabin McDonald’s in Wisconsin. Inside, the location includes unique decor, such as a wood-carved bear and mounted moose head.

Listed among McDonald's restaurants overseas like in Hungary, Portugal, and The Netherlands, this is a one-of-a-kind McDonald's experience you won't find anywhere else in the world.

I'm sure the menus look similar if not the same in most of those locations but one thing is for sure those restaurants all look different.

I have never been to this McDonald's but it's got me thinking I need to check this place out in person.
