Looking for something to do that you'd consider a one-of-a-kind event?

If yes, all you need to do is head about an hour and fifteen minutes east of Rockford towards Long Grove.

That's the town that is hosting its annual Strawberry Fest this weekend, Friday, June 26, through Sunday, June 28.

Live Music, Carnival Rides, and Ticket Prices: What to Know Before You Go

Outside of strawberry stuff, there will be live music on multiple stages throughout the weekend.

Country and classic tribute and cover artists will be on hand for the weekend.

Before you go, general admission is $7 a day, but kids 12 and under are free. If you're thinking carnival rides, you'll need credits, and those packages start at $%

So if most of your weekends are kind of boring, and with the 4th of July next weekend, this might be the perfect time to check out one of the most popular annual events in Illinois, which attracts thousands of visitors.

Don't let this be another year of "Sounds fun, I wish I hadn't gone" and changed it to "I went, and it was fun."
