
Rockford Weighs In: Jobs That Take The Most Heat
With Rockford getting ready to welcome a new mayor, it got us thinking about public-facing jobs. Whether it's fair or not, being the mayor means hearing plenty of complaints. Every decision is scrutinized, and everyone seems to have advice on how you can do the job better.
But the mayor certainly isn't the only person whose job comes with a lot of criticism.

There are plenty of careers where people take heat every day, whether they deserve it or not. Think about customer service workers, teachers, police officers, road construction crews, referees, airline employees... the list goes on! It's truly endless.
That's when I realized the best people to ask about this are the people who have the most opinion: Facebook! Oh, and they've spoken.

- Fast food employees
Teachers seems to be the #1 response when we asked, and I don't disagree on that one! No matter the profession, it's a good reminder that many people are simply trying to do their jobs the best way they can. While constructive criticism has its place, it's easy to forget there's a real person behind a uniform, the counter, the steering wheel, or the office door.
