Illinois’ Favorite Fall Recipe Is A Delicious Saucy Creation
Looking for something new to whip up in the kitchen this fall? Maybe Illinois' favorite fall recipe will be in your near future!
Every fall, my mom always makes a ton of chocolate chip banana bread every weekend. I don't know what the appeal is, but I will down an entire pan of it all by myself in my room. Her recipe for it is top secret, but she puts something in there to keep me crawling back for more!
After finding out what Illinois' favorite fall recipe was, I was somewhat disappointed. Totally thought it'd be cheesy potatoes, butternut squash, or pumpkin muffins, but I was wrong.
Illinois' favorite goes to...
Triple Cranberry Sauce
"A good cranberry sauce should be tart with balanced sweetness. It should have distinct cranberry flavor—complementary notes like cinnamon, allspice, and citrus are welcome, as long as they didn't overpower the berry." - epicurious
I've personally never had triple cranberry sauce, but after Googling photos of this recipe it looks very delicious! Never thought I'd be rushing to my kitchen to make something so fast.
What kind of friend would I be if I left you hangin' without the recipe to try it out? I gotcha covered! This fall recipe came from TasteOfHome and they offer step by step instructions on how to make it, too!
All you need to create the PERFECT Triple Cranberry Sauce in Illinois this fall:
- 1 package (12 ounces) fresh/frozen cranberries
- 1 cup thawed cranberry juice concentrate
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons orange juice
- 3 tablespoons orange marmalade
- 2 teaspoons grated orange zest
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
When you make it, send me photos and tell me how it is. If it doesn't go as planned, like all my creations in the kitchen, you're not alone. Happy baking!
