The Savannah Bananas were on to something, you gotta admit.

What do you do when you take a game that the everyday person thinks is kinda boring and make it fun? You create Banana Ball.

This unique brand of baseball has taken America by storm. The Bananas have played in sold-out collegiate football arenas and packed baseball stadiums that would be lucky to draw the amount of people and interest that most teams in Major League Baseball would die for.

How the Savannah Bananas Changed Baseball

The Savannah Bananas are the baseball equivalent of the Harlem Globetrotters, and because of that, they have opened doors for so many different men and women, for this team in particular, to continue to play baseball and get paid to do so.

That's why I was so excited to see Chicago, my hometown, put together their version of Banana Ball and create the "ultimate co-ed sportstainment" team called the Chicago Snowballs. I shared with you the news of the team, and then the tryouts and where they were going to play.

Seems like word has gotten out about the Snowballs, and now they are taking the show on the road and bringing their act to Rockford.
