Beloved Illinois Pizza Place That Caught Fire Teases Reopening
It's been almost two years since you've been able to order a pizza from Capri, but it looks like you'll be able to give them a call sooner than later.
In the late afternoon of October 27, 2022, most of Rockford, Illinois' eyes were glued to the news and social media after a fire broke out inside the beloved Capri restaurant in downtown Rockford.

However, the Capri family wasn't ready to put the pizza business behind them and earlier this year announced that they would rebuild elsewhere, finding a location in Loves Park where they could open for carryout.

That's all info you probably knew... but did you know that today (August 22, 2024) they posted a photo of some pretty delicious food! With the words... coming soon!
As if I wasn't already starving at my desk, this is huge news!
I'll be totally honest with you, I've only eaten from Capri once! My parents and I ordered Capri's pizza in the spring of 2021 when I moved into my apartment and that was my only time!
Once in the summer of 2021, my friends and I tried to go to Capri but (not a shocker at all)... the place was packed and they couldn't accept any more diners for the night. That's what kind of restaurant Capri was, packed ALL the time and filled with diners ordering Italian dishes.

I have a feeling when Capri re-opens their doors, they'll be just as busy as they once were.
