We're within a month where nearly everyone will wonder out loud if Illinois will experience a white Christmas. There's a new forecast which shows the answer for Illinois is really complicated and seriously depends on what part of the state you live in.

The White Christmas Weather Forecast was just shared by the Old Farmer's Almanac and its prediction for Illinois is a curious one. The map they shared has one of three options. Either "will have a white Christmas", "has a chance at a white Christmas" and "will not have a white Christmas". Look at the prediction for Illinois and you'll understand what I mean by "it's complicated".

That translate into this. If you're in north or west-central Illinois, it's likely you'll have a white Christmas. If you live in downstate southern Illinois, you have a chance, but no promises. For central and northeastern Illinois, enjoy the sight of your green yard. Sorry, Chicago...no soup for you.

The new white Christmas forecast from Old Farmer's Almanac is a fun read if you'd like to see whether the rest of America will have a white Christmas, too.
