Average Home in Illinois’ Most Expensive Zip Code is $2.3 Million

One person's trash is another person's treasure. However, I think the "average" home in Illinois' most expensive zip code would be a treasure for virtually every single person on earth as the value tops $2.3 million dollars.

I don't live in a world of envy and am not jealous in the least of people that have the wealth to afford to call this Illinois zip code home. Realty Pop just ranked the most expensive zip code in each state and the Land of Lincoln is packing some places for the rich and/or famous. Here are the top 3 zip codes for Illinois:

• 60043 (Kenilworth): $2,350,000
• 60022 (Glencoe): $1,625,000
• 60093 (Winnetka): $1,534,000

This a bit unexpected as I figured Winnetka would be tops in Illinois. If you're not familiar with Winnetka, think place where Kevin was left home alone in the movie.

For reference, the 3rd most expensive zip code tops the 1st most expensive zip code in Missouri which is now Ladue.

Hey, it's an excellent zip code that borders Lake Michigan in Illinois if you can afford it. For the rest of us, I doubt I'd be allowed in the area to even mow lawns (and that's likely a good judgement by the residents).
