There are just some things in life you cannot do, but returning items to Walmart is normally one on the OK to do list. However, there are 13 things you can never ever return to a Missouri or Illinois Walmart. The list contains a few things that might surprise you.

My dad used to be a Walmart door greeter at the Hannibal, Missouri store and I have many friends who also work at the Quincy, Illinois Walmart store. However, I do not consider myself a Walmart expert which is why I went directly to the detailed store return policy on the Walmart website for this list.

Here are the things you can never return to Walmart for any reason. The corporate site says these are the items they "will not replace, accept returns, or provide refunds for".

Firearms & Ammunition are not allowed to be brought back on a return.

The Walmart return policy says you can't return "Used or Mounted Tires, Wheels, Rims, Snow Tires".

Walmart says you can't bring back "gold bars, silver coins, currency". Please tell me where the gold bar section of the store is. Asking for a friend.

You're not allowed to bring in (*ahem*) adult "toys" or "Pregnancy Tests, Ovulation Tests, & Home Diagnostic Testing Kits (including COVID-19 tests)".

You have to keep any "Prescription Medications and Devices" you buy from Walmart. Sorry.

Since I didn't go to pharmacy school, you'll need to check the labels to see if what you bought at Walmart has "pseudoephedrine, ephedrine, phenylpropanolamine" in it.

This category includes "meters, strips, lancets, lancet devices & syringes".

Since these return policies can be amended and changed, make sure to check the official Walmart return policy for yourself and I have no doubt the store associates can answer questions, too.
