I have it pretty easy in my day-to-day job responsibilities. I always say I don't have a physical job, but more of a mental job. However, these five physically demanding jobs in Missouri put mine to shame.

I am not sure if I could ever have a physically demanding one, it just seems like something I would NOT be good at. So a big shout out to those who work in one of these demanding jobs in Missouri.

This is not an easy profession for anyone, especially in the hot, humid summer months. Shout out to all the roofers who make sure that our homes and businesses are safe from Mother Nature. On average roofers carry 58 to 60 pounds, work 8 to 10 hours, and make $51,000 a year. Seems to be a small salary for a giant job.

Making those hard decisions might seem easy on TV, but I'm sure in real-life scenarios it's the hardest job to do. Years of experience on being a firefighter, EMS, or police officer will help make decision-making in this profession somewhat easier. This is all about life experiences. On average supervisors can make $85,000.

Heating & A/C Installers

Other than roofers these men and women are the most important people that make your home safe and warm (or cool). On average this profession works 6 to 8 hours and can make up to $60,000. Working in the extreme heat and cold is what makes this profession extremely demanding.

Construction Workers

The heartbeat of America. These men and women build massive towers, homes, and businesses, so without them, we would have log cabins and tents. A physically demanding job for sure, but when a project is done I am so also just as gratified.
