Despite the fact that my wife is a great cook, and I can handle myself pretty well cooking too, we still appreciate a good breakfast restaurant.

With both of us possibly dealing with hangovers on Saturday this weekend, we went to breakfast in Superior at one in the afternoon.

Normally, I would have gone for an omelet, probably filled with breakfast meats and extra cheese.  Hungover Joe needed something more though, and a burger was calling, so I went that route which I had never done at this place known for breakfast.

Julie's Family Restaurant features a wide range of food options with breakfast being served all day.  The menu which was updated since the last time I was in had a "Juicy Burger Platters" section and I was sold on seeing "half pound, fresh, never frozen, lean ground Angus beef".

I opted for one called "The Hangover", which was incredibly fitting for my condition.  With the massive patty, bacon, cheese, a fried egg, and avocado, it was exactly what I needed.

They don't mess around with these platters as you can see from the picture.  It's pretty much a sharable meal with the size of the burger itself and the pile of fries and onion rings.  This is not what I was expecting from a place we usually get breakfast at.  The burger was well seasoned and packed with flavor with the hangover appropriate ingredients.  Give one a try next time you're around Superior looking for a burger, but know the breakfast is still great there too.
