No surprise here but it's time for another scam alert. Sigh. There really is a scam for everything these days.

This scam was reported in Wisconsin just a few days ago and follows the playbook of so many others scams that have been circulating lately.

This scam has been reported in Prescott, with the local police department there warning locals about it.

Because this has already popped up in Wisconsin, it isn't out of the question for it to pop up anywhere else in the state, or even in Minnesota.

The scammers also bring an added sense of fear by claiming that if you don't take care of the back taxes you owe, a warrant will be issued for your arrest. This also creates a sense of urgency, making it more likely someone will fall for this scam.
