It’s Not Your Imagination. Gas Prices Have Been Going Up.

Don't worry though it's not just here, it's nationwide. 

All these stats are according to gasbuddy.com. A pretty awesome website with a lot of information.

Right now Rockford's average price of gas is sitting right at the national average of $2.39 per gallon. That's 13 cents lower than the state average and a whopping 27 cents lower than a tank of gas in Chicago. That's the good news.

The bad news is that gas has been steadily rising in Rockford and the state for sometime now. Only a month ago gas was $2.24 per gallon. Ready for some really depressing news? Gas a year ago? $1.98. Remember when gas was actually under 2 bucks a gallon? Those were the good ol' days.

It'll be interesting to see where gas goes from here. We've been on a steady incline since February. Might want to fill up ASAP.
