It’s Going To Get Hot In Rockford. Here’s A List Of Area Cooling Centers

An Excessive Heat Warning goes into effect for Winnebago County beginning Friday morning and continuing into Saturday. 

The temperature will be in the upper 90s with the heat index possibly getting as high as 110. In addition to checking in on elders and making sure pets are inside, here are some cooling centers around the area.

These places will all have air conditioning and water available for those who need some relief.
