Iron Chef Judge Is Cooking A Special Dinner In Rockford

Rockford's already great food scene is going to get an influx of Italian greatness later this month.

If you aren't already aware, Josef's is one of the best restaurants in town if not the state. They usually focus on seafood but will be taking on some Italian flare on April 27.

That's when Iron Chef judge Mario Rizzotti will be guest chef and bring his "4 The Love Of Italian Food Tour" to town.

This is the first stop on this year's tour before it heads to Michigan and then to New York.

Mario's food is always outstanding and if you've never done a prix fixe dinner before, this would be an awesome time to discover it.

Seating is limited so act now if you want a spot. The $175 ticket gets you a four course meal with a wine specially selected to pair with each one. Gratuity is also included so you can just leave your wallet at home.
