He probably claims to be a leader of young men as well.

There are a lot of people giving this guy a pass because it happened in Indiana. They're treating it like an homage to Bobby Knight. If you don't get that reference, here's a refresher:

That was an outrageous move for a coach at a national powerhouse in the late '80s to pull. You think it's alright to do this at a high school game in the year two thousand and twenty-one? Get out of here.

To be clear, Bobby Knight was and always has been a pompous ass bag. A basketball genius for sure, but a real jerk in real life. Oh, and he also choked his players:

An honest question for anyone that's still reading this. Does anyone under the age of 40 even recognize Indiana as the mecca of basketball in the United States? Indiana basketball hasn't mattered since the 90s and Hoosiers came out in <checks Google> 1986! Why would anyone think Indiana equals basketball these days?

But back to our Bobby Knight impressionist in the original video. This is why we can't get people to officiate high school basketball games. Insane coaches (as well as insane parents) make the 50 bucks you might make for the game not worth it. You coach high school basketball man, take it easy.

This is the perfect time for me to announce that WROK will be bringing back high school basketball this year. Our first broadcast will be on February 13th. The specific game is yet to be determined. Dave Perrone and I will once again be on the call. The plan as of now will be to do 2 games a week during the abbreviated 5-week season.

Stay tuned for more details. Hopefully, we won't have any incidents like this during one of our calls.
