Illinois "Most Famous Movie" is definitely set in the Land of Lincoln, but being called the most famous of all is weird.

There are movies that decidedly Illinois. Whether it be Chicago or somewhere else, you look at it and just know it's an Illinois movie.

Well, the website Twenty Two Words put together a list of the "Most Famous Movie Set In Each State" and their choice for Illinois was Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Business Insider says about Ferris Bueller, "While many Hughes films take place in Illinois, none encompasses the state better than 'Ferris Bueller.'"

Off the top of my head, National Lampoon's Vacation, Tommy Boy, Blues Brothers, Wayne's World, Home Alone and Groundhog Day would be better choices.

Stranger than the Ferris for Illinois choice was Dawn of the Dead being chosen as Wisconsin's "Most Famous Movie."

Is Ferris Bueller's Day Off the most famous set in Illinois? What would you pick instead?
