Well THIS getaway for an Illinois man didn't go as planned. KTAR

Raphael R. Morris of Homer Glen, Illinois was out in Arizona. It's a dry heat I tell ya!

Handcuffs and cocaine on black background.

Morris was out for a drive on the highway in Phoenix, Az...So much to do out there! The landscape, the tiny grass front yards, it's a whole different world compared to lonely Homer Glen, IL. So why not celebrate the sunshine for a little cruise?

State Troopers followed, and pulled over Morris..."Do you know why I pulled you over?" As I'm sure Mr. Morris was peeing his shorts...

Upon the pull over, and the vehicle search...Apparently Mr. Morris was in Arizona to party, and "party" with others.

Found is Raphael's car was 25 pounds of cocaine and also an additional 2.2 pounds of fentanyl powder. Dang man, not going anywhere for a while?  Raphael had all these goodies stashed away in his Chevrolet Malibu...well shoot that didn't work either.

All the sunshine, all the vacation time...all of it will look much different now. Here's the scary part, that amount of fentanyl, 2.2 pounds...could KILL 500,000 people. That's ridiculous! Obviously that amount was ready to be divided up and sold, glad it's gone.

I guess Mr. Morris will be homesick soon, as he is behind bars and will be out in Arizona for a long, long time. I think the jails are air conditioned, so never you mind the dry heat Mr. Morris.
