While he sat shotgun, a man from Illinois let an 11-year-old drive.

I have a friend who grew up on a farm and his parents used to let him drive around their property before he had his license. I guess that's fairly safe since there were no other cars around.

This incident, on the other hand, is very dangerous.

According to people.com,

"An Illinois man is accused of letting an 11-year-old relative drive herself and another child to elementary school as he sat in the passenger seat."

School employees witnessed the event during morning drop off. The police were immediately called.

The officers discovered the man's driver's license was suspended. I'm thinking that's why he asked the child to drive.

By the way, the vehicle was reported stolen for a car rental company.

It still surprises me the things people will try to get away with.
