Officials in Milwaukee are blaming the makers of Hyundai and Kia because of their less-than-spectacular record of not building cars with adequate anti-theft devices.
The big uptick in vehicle theft is really putting a strain on local law enforcement, so the city os even considering suing both automakers.

According to wisn.com, Milwaukee is likely to surpass 10,000 vehicle thefts in 2021. Over two-thirds of that number are just Hyundais and Kias.
The other very disturbing fact is that more than half of the vehicle thefts are being committed by suspects aged 16 and under. Apparently in Denver, four of the top five models stolen are either Kias or Hyundais.
