We really go crazy for those Black Friday deals, huh? Maybe you do, but in my house, not so much. If only we lived in Houston.

Fox news has the story of used car manager Dan Minner at Sterling McCall Toyota in Houston. Dan's getting all set for the annual Black Friday promotion when they offer customers the chance at driving off in a used car for the low, low price of one dollar.

The way it works is used car manager Dan Minner walks through the lot with a black marker changing prices on the cars as he’s followed by a mob of customers waiting to jump on the big deal, but they can also run ahead and sit in the car of their choice, earning first dibs on the surprise sale price.

While up to 200 cars have their prices “sliced,” only three go for $1, and they’re usually 10-year or older rides. Another ten are sold for less than $1,000, while at least 50 are priced under $10,000.

The buzz on this promotion is so big, local TV stations cover it each year. So, you might figure every dollar is tight in today's economy, but just think about how that special someone's face will light up on Christmas morning when they pull that used car out of their stocking. A gift that only set you back a buck.
