Hultgren Supports Calling Lawmakers Back to D.C. On Ebola Crisis [AUDIO]
Illinois Congressman Randy Hultgren joined us on "Riley & Scot" this week to talk about a number of topics, including where we currently stand with the Ebola crisis in the country. This conversation took place Thursday, so we were unaware that the President would be appointing an "Ebola czar" on Friday morning.
We asked Congressman Hultgren if he thought it might be a good idea to call lawmakers back to D.C. to address response to the Ebola virus. He thought it would make sense to do so:
I think it is. I would really like to see our leadership do that. Even if we don't vote on something, for us to be coming together to discuss this [and] to get information together. It feels like it's piecemeal right now because we're not in session, we're not out there...I would support that and would be on my way immediately.
Here's our full conversation with the Congressman, in which we also touched on tax reform and food labeling regulations in the U.S.:
