Here’s All The Cooling Centers In The Rockford Area

The heat wave is supposed to continue all week. Here are all the spots you can go to cool down. 

The cooling centers will offer air conditioning when the National Weather Service issues an Excessive Heat Advisory or Warning. As always make sure to check on the elderly or anyone else who might be affected by the heat.

Winnebago County Sites

• Carpenter's Place - 1149 Railroad Ave, Rockford - M-F 8:30-3
• Rockford Rescue Mission - 715 W. State St, Rockford - 7-7 Everyday
• Pilgrim Baptist Church - 1709 S. Central Ave, Rockford - M-F 9-5
• Village of Machesney Park - 300 Roosevelt Rd, Machesney Park - M-F 8-4:30
• Pecatonica Village Hall - 405 Main St., Pecatonica - M-F 8:30-8:30

Boone County Sites

• Salvation Army - 422 S. Main St, Belvidere - M-F 9-11:45, 1-4
