Rockford is sadly filled with many abandoned buildings that harbor a lot of nostalgia for people. But, did you know about the horrifying underground tunnels that lurk underneath us?

I'm obsessed with Decaying Midwest and the places they discover and explore. If you haven't heard about them, they travel across the Midwest and investigate abandoned places. After doing my daily scroll on TikTok, I jumped excitedly when I saw they were in Rockford!

I've heard about the underground tunnels of Rockford before, but I haven't seen them at all in this light.

The specific location isn't clearly stated in the video -- I had to ask around about what the initial building shown was, and one of my coworkers informed me it was possibly the former Old Testers Paint Company. Check it out!

In the video, the team checks out a series of tunnels that connect multiple abandoned factories throughout the city of Rockford. I can't imagine how much money went into making all of these buildings and tunnels... just for them to be left abandoned and unused.

That's just the start of what they looked at. I said that I can't even begin to understand the money behind building factories and tunnels, but look at vast amount of stuff they leave behind too!
