Community members are invited to help support the victims of last week’s tornado and have a great meal while benefitting a worthy cause. On Wednesday, April 15, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., all Rockford and Roscoe Culver’s will donate 10 percent of sales to tornado relief efforts. Many other Culver’s in the Northern Illinois region will be raising funds as well.

Half of the proceeds raised at Rockford and Roscoe Culver’s will go to the Rochelle Community Foundation, to help with disaster relief efforts directly in the Rochelle area community, while the other half will go to the Summerfield Zoo in Belvidere, IL, which sustained severe damage. In addition, all this week Culver’s guests have the opportunity to donate one dollar or more to help the Summerfield Zoo rebuild, and can sign their name to a zoo animal decal, which Culver’s will display on their wall.

Since opening the doors of the first restaurant in 1984, Culver’s® has been committed to being an active member in its local community.

“Like everyone else, we were devastated to hear of the destructive path the tornado took through our neighboring communities,” said Aaron Koch, owner/operator. “We were encouraged to hear our team members asking how we could help, and it was wonderful when so many other local Culver’s locations stepped up to the plate to partner in raising funds."

Culver’s support for the tornado relief efforts is just part of their dedication to giving back to the community. From Culver’s founders to each locally owned and operated restaurant, each franchise partner and team member understands the importance of serving those in need.
