There was a bit of commotion this morning in West Chicago, IL as the cops received calls over a couple of curious cows wandering the roads.

WGN shares that the West Chicago Police Department received 911 calls about stray cows around the intersection of Route 59 and Route 64.

Once police arrived on the scene they set off in pursuit, a rather slow and steady walk, to corral the calves that were out wandering the roadways.

How they got there no one quite knows. However, the calves were "uninjured and appear in good health."

According to their Facebook post the owners were found, contacted and the calves were returned safely home.

The department shared that "one of the fun things about police work is you never know what to expect."

I'm sure a call about cows was not expected, but I bet it made a fun start to their days.
