Get ready to take in some anthropology because the Field Museum is letting all Illinois residents in for free this month.

To be honest with you the Field Museum is the only "big" Chicago museum I have yet to go to. I've done Shedd, The Museum of Science and Industry, Adler and the Art Institute but I've never gone to see Sue the T-Rex at the Field Museum.

From what I've hear I've been missing out so maybe it's time to drive down I-90 and get cultured.

Just to be clear the free entry is just for general admission. If you want to see a special exhibition of a 3D movie there will be an additional cost, but it will still be discounted.

For more information on the event or the museum itself, visit their website here.
