Looks like Starbucks found a place to spend all that Unicorn Frappuccino money.

DNAInfo - At four stories tall and 43,000 square feet, the largest Starbucks in the world is opening on the Mag Mile, Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced Wednesday. The Starbucks Reserve Roastery will open in 2019 at 646 N. Michigan Ave., currently the home of Crate & Barrel's flagship store.

Please keep in mind that this isn't just a Starbucks, it's a Roastery. Pretty sure that's a made up word but who am I to critique?

This will undoubtedly be a tourist spot since there's already plenty of Starbucks downtown. I used to work down there and I passed 4 Starbucks just on my walk from the train station to my office building.

I've been trying to figure out how Starbucks can fill four (4!) stories of primetime downtown real estate. Will they be growing actual coffee beans on the roof? All I know is that this sounds like an absolute nightmare for someone just looking for a cup of coffee.

If you really want to overpay for coffee downtown I highly recommend Intelligentsia. It's expensive but it's at least delicious and the crowd, while VERY hipster-y, is usually a lot easier to handle than your standard horde at the Starbucks.
