Do you like the outdoors? Does listening to frog calls interest you? Have I got a class for you!

The Lincoln Park Conservancy is looking for volunteers throughout Illinois to listen for frog and toad calls during breeding season.

The data you collect will provide valuable information about the health of ponds and lakes in your area.

You can help out in just 3 easy steps.

  1. Register for a one time training class.
  2. Visit your area to listen for calls three times between March 15 and July 10(six hours total)
  3. Record your results on each visit and submit your data online.

Sounds like fun to me! The registration deadline is February 22. If interested contact Aaron Hammond at 773-883-PARK or go to the website at www.lincolnparkconservancy.org.
