Chicago Bulls Personnel To Scout Talent At Open Tryout
Think you have what it takes to play professional basketball and possibly make it to the NBA someday?
The Windy City Bulls, G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, will hold an open tryout for those chasing their hoop dreams.
According to information released by the Windy City Bulls, basketball operations personnel from both the Chicago Bulls and their G League affiliate will be present during the tryout.
Players are invited to attend the tryout Sept. 10 at Chicago Hope Academy, 2641 West Harrison Road, in Chicago. Check-in begins at 1 pm the day of the event.
Players are required to be at least 18 years old in order to participate in the one-day tryout.
Registration is open for those ready to start practicing their jump shots and corner 3s.
A nonrefundable registration fee of $250 is being collected from those who sign-up before Aug. 29. The price increases to $300 after that according to the Windy City Bulls website.
The registration form asks those trying out to be upfront about their years of playing experience between high school, college and any previous pro ball.
There is no minimum experience required to be eligible for the one-day tryout.
Those participating in the tryout will be competing for an invite to the Windy City Bulls training camp in October.
The G League is the official minor league of the NBA. It is comprised of 30 teams, 28 of which are affiliated with NBA teams.
Plenty of G League players have found their way into the NBA with a total of 164 call-ups just during the 2022-23 season.
The Windy City Bulls finished 18-14 last season. They play their home games at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates.
