What does a business do with all of its stuff when it shuts down permanently? Well, they sell it,  but how do they do that? It is not like they would put it all up for sale on Facebook Marketplace.

Why Is This Legendary Bar Closing?

According to southportlanes.com,

"It’s the end of an era. We outlasted Prohibition and the 1918 Spanish flu, but not COVID-19. Southport Lanes poured its last beer on Sunday, September 27, 2020."

It is truly a sad day for fans of this establishment. The place has been open for 98 years.

Good Memories Of Southport Lanes

A couple of my friends used to live just around the corner. We would go there quite a bit. When we did, there was definitely bowling involved. It was old school.

They had actual employees setting the pins back up and rolling your ball back. If you put a good tip in one of the figure holes, you were guaranteed a strike.
